We want to do all we can to help facilitate all adoptions, many of our adopters are from out of the area and can not make two trips. If you are coming from out of town please call or email in advance to find out if the pet you are interested in is ready to go home on the day you will be traveling. While we do our best to answer all emails, there may be a delay. It is important that you include the animal ID number in all inquiries. Many of our dogs and cats were strays when they came in so we have limited information, however all animals are temperament tested before being placed for adoption. There is no guarantee on how these animals will be behave in your home. Thank you in advance for considering our wonderful animals.
The California SPCA encourages you to come visit our shelter and view the many other wonderful dogs, cats and other wonderful babies we currently have up for adoption. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and age appropriately vaccinated before leaving the shelter. Please keep in mind that some of our pets may require booster vaccines after being adopted. You are welcome to come down and take a dog out for a walk, or just sit and pet a lonely head. The sunshine does wonders for their health and wellbeing. Kitties love to play and you can spend some time petting them and cuddling.

Our shelter is open every day of the year (yes, even holidays!) from 8am to 4pm. On Wednesdays, we offer extended hours and remain open from 8am to 7pm. Our shelter is located at 103 South Hughes Avenue in Southwest Fresno right off of 180 West; if you follow 180 West it will end at Hughes, look to your right you will see our beautiful big red barn that announces SPCA IF YOU CAN'T ADOPT CONSIDER A DONATION PLEASE
