    Sacramento, Ca - Mona Lisa

    Mona Lisa

    Boxer
    Size: Medium
    Age: Young
    Sex: Female
    Pet ID: A502192

    Notes:

WE'VE MOVED, see our new state-of-the-art shelter at 3839 Bradshaw, south of 50, between Goethe Road and Safetyville. Meet Mona Lisa. This sweetie is about one year and eight months and weighs an estimated 50 pounds. She is a "free spirit" (Intelligent, independent, confident and clever, I prefer making my own decisions but will listen to you if you make a good case. We're partners in this adventure. Treat me like one and we'll both live happily ever after.). This silly girl has lots of energy and can't wait to put on that leash to get out for a walk or adventure in the park. She also loves to get out for car rides. Mona Lisa knows a few verbal commands and should excel with further training. She appears to be housetrained, but will of course need time in her new home to adjust. Mona Lisa will do best in a home where she can be in a covered dog run or kept inside, as she is able to jump fences. Mona Lisa is currently in D-049, so just ask a staff member or volunteer to see her when you come to meet this great girl. (av)
Dogs are "pack animals" and need to be inside the house daily with their humans. Most behavior problems such as barking, chewing and hyper behavior are caused by leaving a dog in a backyard day and night.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. Due to recent county and state budget cuts, we need help with walking dogs and helping with adoptions and shelter tasks You can also donate money. - visit www.saccountyshelter.net
Animals must be spayed or neutered before going home. Renters must bring written landlord approval. Visitwww.saccountyshelter.net for info on hours, adoptions and volunteering.
Animals on this site may have been recently adopted. Due to limited staff we graciously ask that you visit in person vs. call.

    Sacramento, Ca - Moana

    Moan-a

    Boxer
    Size: Large
    Age: Senior
    Sex: Female

    Notes:

Moan-a is a great dog. She got her name because she has a tendency to make moaning sounds when she wants attention. It's hilarious! She is loving and affectionate and would get along in most families. She's about 4-5 years old, so although older, it just means that she has gone through all the annoying puppy behaviors and is ready to devote her time to a loving family.

    • Moan-a is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

3/2/10 THIS YOUNG BOXER MIX NEEDS TRAINING AND A FAMILY WITH KIDS 12YRS OF AGE AND OVER DUE TO LACK OF TRAINING AND ENERGY LEVEL. CNORMAN
Hi, I''m Gus and I''m a really, really handsome Boxer mix who is looking forward to starting a new phase of my life. I''m a pretty big fellow so I hope that my new family wants to have a big, lovable cuddle-bug as part of their `crew.` Because I am a good sized dog, it will be important for my new family to invest time in training me and the best home for me would be one with older children. I do have a zest for life and an exuberance that might be too much for small children. The volunteers say that I do love to snuggle and that I am a happy dog. I love to play with toys too. I guess these are all youngster kinds of things so I''m pretty normal. When anyone comes to visit, I rush up to say hello. I just love people. Won''t you give me a chance to make you happy? I promise to give you all my love. This description is not a professional behavioral evaluation, but reflects observations by dog volunteers.
