This stunning girl is Scooter, a one year old boxer. She was surrendered to us in July 2009 because she wasn’t getting along with the family’s other dog. Scooter is a very outgoing girl. She loves people so much, she just can’t get enough of them. Scooter is famous for her hugs that she will give anyone willing to let her. She will wrap her front legs around your waist and gaze at you with her sweet doe eyes. You just can’t say no to a face like hers. Scooter’s previous family said that she is very patient and sweet with children. She was around small kids and she was always gentle. Scooter does get excited sometimes and might knock over a really small child, but other than that she’d be great with them. Scooter didn’t grow up with cats and definitely is interested in chasing them so she shouldn’t live with any in her new home. Because of Scooter’s history with dogs she shouldn’t live with any. She isn’t at all aggressive toward them, but is so used to being picked on that she immediately assumes they are going to attack her and goes into defense mode. After long introductions with neutral and polite dogs, Scooter will relax, but she would feel safer in a home as the only dog. Scooter’s previous family described her as, “friendly, playful, affectionate and quiet.” She is extremely loving, patient with people and listens very well. Scooter would be happiest in a home with a moderate activity level, no other pets and lots of people and kids for her to love on. Adoption- $150

He was turned in by his previous owners because they said they couldn't afford the training they said he needed to behave. They said he needs lot's of attention and he was chewing things up. They did say he doesn't get into the garbage and he doesn't jump fences. They also said he is good w/children of all ages (they had children), no kitties. Roscoe is a "busy bee" who enjoys long strolls around the neighborhood. He does pretty well on the leash and stays close to his human. Even though he loves his walks, he is always ready to be let off the leash for some running around. Especially if there is a tennis ball around. Roscoe hasn't met a tennis ball that he didn't like -- he will even go on his walks with the tennis ball in his mouth. The best of both worlds for him! Roscoe is always sure to show his appreciation, so be ready for lots of sloppy kisses. Roscoe has quite a few grays on his face, but it makes him all the more handsome. He is about 55-60 pounds but is very easy to handle. At five years of age, Roscoe is still very playful and full of life. He knows several verbal commands and seems to be very obedient. Roscoe appears to be housetrained, but will of course need some time in his new home to adjust. Roscoe will make an excellent companion, so come meet him in D-093 of the Augie Doggie area to see if you two are a match.
